Casey Miles is an Assistant Professor in the Writing, Rhetoric & American Cultures department at Michigan State University. She teaches in the Professional Writing and First-Year Writing Programs. Casey received her PhD in Cultural Rhetorics from MSU as well; also holding a master’s degree in Digital Rhetoric & Professional Writing.
Casey recently won the 2016 CCCC Gloria Anzaldúa Rhetorician Award for her scholarship focused on queer multimodal research. She continues to work on her documentary series, The Gender Project, which explores the ways queer people compose gender, gender identity, and sexuality in their everyday lives.
